Educational Projects

So you are ready for your first day at university. First up, congratulations, you made it despite your best efforts to not study for those final exams. Yup, sure you visited the campus before, on some guided tour with a load of swotty looking geeks. The last thing that you want on this auspicious occasion is to find yourself trapped all day with those keen academic types; after all you are here for the best days of your life aren’t you?

Hopefully, you’ve Google Earthed (or similar) the campus to plan your routes for the first couple days. If you haven’t don’t panic, all is not lost. You can still get through this unscathed. Before entering the campus, get the attitude right. You belong here don’t you? Take a deep breath and straighten up the shoulders, not too much, this is a campus after all not a barracks. Stand like you have been around for at least a year. If possible develop a look of mild cynicism across your glorious features. A subtle curling of the lip is a good choice, but try not to overdo this one, or you’ll be busted because you are trying too hard. This must all seem EFFORTLESS.

Check your clothes over, do you possess the certain type of student panache you are after. The actual look is not that important, after all that’s the great thing about a university or college campus, the range of looks and styles is endless. If it’s the brand conscious designer approach, or the “I mean business”, padded shoulders or even the total disestablishment look you are after, it’s just important to appear that you are totally at ease. So what your heart is pounding so hard that you can hear the thunder in your ears, no one else need know if you don’t let on.
